  • After last year's successful competition and parties, Nokia has set out this year to give that special unsigned artist or group an even bigger push into the music industry. The winner will be armed with loads of prizes including the coveted 4-track EP mastered and packaged with full CD artwork, return trip overseas to meet the record label of your choice and a set in the Terminal 9 tour. This year, 12 finalists will be judged by some big international names in the business, including Justin Rushmore (Finger Lickin A&R, Soul of Man), Paul Arnold (Fat! Records), Khalid Mallassi (Catskills Records) and many more. Those lucky 12 will have their track mastered and included on an offical Connecting Beats CD plus the opportunity to have their track listened to and voted by the public. The competition is now open with the cut-off date for entries being Midnight May 6 2005 (EST). The finalists will be announced on May 30 with online and SMS voting commencing at that stage. If you make hip hop, breaks, drum n bass, house or anything else, make sure you enter as this is without a doubt the best music competition Australia has to offer.
