- Fat City Record's Martin Brew has announced he will mix a solo album for the Manchester based label.
Well known to the Manchester [UK] massive after many a year behind the Fat City Record shop counter and in the DJ box of every venue in town Martin Brew, known to many as one half of the critically acclaimed duo J Walk, is about to claim centre stage in his own right with his eagerly awaited Fat City solo project. His debut solo album entitled ‘No Room In The City For Big Hearts Like Ours’ will include vocals from Rich Medina, MC Kwasi, Ambersunshower and MC Wrec, with Monkone, The Nextmen and Lazy Walker helping out behind the scenes.
Martin Brew has regularly been featured on Fat City Recordings’ highly acclaimed Mystic Brew compilations and ‘No Room In The City For Big Hearst Like Ours’ is a natural progression with the Fat City label. It will be released in 2LP/CD format in June this year.
