There's an exodus of breakbeat DJs from Melbourne to Geelong this weekend. One of them is perennial favourite Brewster B who will be headlining Beat Banc on Sunday June 12 (Queens Birthday long weekend).
The Beat Banc sessions feature guest Melbourne and National DJ,s monthly, playing in the Banc Blac basement with the three floors of Banc open for the this event. Session 3 hosts a long standing leader of the Australian Breaks fraternity, Brewster B. He'll be supported by Geelong legend Scotty D and Ads-Phoe. Trudy and Matty Marks will swing in the restaurant.
The Banc hotel is a new venue for Geelong and it stands out from the rest. It is a converted Art Deco Bank Building, over three levels complete with the original vaults and fittings. Presale tickets are $12 and available now from the venue. You're advised to get one now as this event will sell out. Tickets will cost more on the door. Banc is located at 53 Malop St, Geelong. Doors open at 10pm.
Next months guest at Beat Banc will be Gavin Kietel launching his new CD Electric 01 compilation on the Balance label through Stomp.
