  • Industry professionals, prestigious producers, artists, musicians and club promoters in the electronic music industry are preparing to converge on Buenos Aires, Argentina for the second edition of the South American Music Conference (SAMC) in October 2005. Last year's inaugural event drew hundreds of electronic music professionals to Latin America's dance capital and brought together more than 25000 people in its celebration of electronic music and dance culture. Widely applauded by the international press, DJs and enthusiastic audiences, the event drew comparisons to some of the best festivals the UK and Europe has to offer. Once again the second edition of the SAMC will bring together key industry professionals and artists from all of South America and the world, with the aim of proving a great environment to network within and highlighting the South American electronic music scene. Conferences and workshops will enable the public to talk shop with artists and producers while the seminars will see local and international DJs and music industry professionals discuss everything from the growth of the electronic music scene in South America to the art of mixing. The SAMC 2005 will house two rooms - one progressive/trance and the other tech house/techno - featuring a host of talents native to South America and some international big guns including: Tiesto, Richie Hawtin, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Christopher Lawrence, Adam Beyer, Marco Bailey, Tom Stephan, Corrie, Carlos Diaz, Mar-T, Diego Ro-K, Aldo Haydar, DJ Dero, Tommy Jacobs, Franco Cinello, Ricky Ryan, Uma, Alexa and Fernano Picon.
