  • The annual Earthcore Carnival is set to take place from 25-27 November at Undera in Victoria's north. If you can't get out of town to party in the bush, then the next best thing might be heading down to one of your favourite local venues to catch some Earthcore headliners. Surprisingly Earthcore have announced five separate sideshows taking place in Melbourne on weekends following the Earthcore Carnival. On Thursday 1 December Amorphous Androgynous, who are The Future Sound of London's 6-piece psychedelic band will be playing live, alongside those crazy Brisbane lads of Regurgitator, who recently lived in a bubble in Federation Square. The event takes place at the Prince of Wales starting from 9pm. On Friday 2 December there are two different shows on. Juno Reactor, OTT and Tsuyoshi Suzuki will all be playing at the Prince of Wales, while at Room680 you will be able to see rocker Perry Farrell of Janes Addiction in his DJ guise as Peretz. Also on the bill at Room680 are old skool electronic act The Propellerheads with Will White playing a DJ set. On Saturday 3 December Orbital DJ Phil Hartnoll will be headlining Volume at Room680, supported by the Volume residents. On Friday 9 December it is the turn of Hallucinogen to do an encore live set and Simon Ponsford to do an encore DJ set. The event takes place at the Prince of Wales.
