  • 18 years on from his infamous life-changing holiday to Ibiza with Oakey & co in 1987 Danny Rampling has announced his final London curtain call. As we announced earlier this year, Danny will be hanging up his headphones to enjoy managing his own restaurants. On Saturday December 03, he will say goodbye to London at an old stomping ground with an emotionally-charged night epic last-man-standing 8 Hour retrospective set which will finish at Midday. Speaking about the event Danny is clearly excited by the chance to send off his London’s fans “I’ve travelled the world, met the wildest people, partied in some great clubs and to have been given that opportunity is marvellous “I’m saying goodbye to one of the best periods of my life. It’s like all those great holidays you had when you were a kid rolled into one, like when you didn’t want your summer to end!! But everything comes to an end and I am going out in a dignified and stylish exit on my own terms.”‘Morning Glory’ will feature those DJs who have been so prominent and inspirational to Danny throughout his illustrious DJ career as the night pays homage to a man who has only helped the scene grow into the flourishing state the it is currently in. To complete this magical musical journey and to reflect Danny’s international contribution, his friend Frankie Knuckles - “The Godfather of House” is flying in especially for the goodbye. An inspiration to the each other Frankie has re-scheduled his diary just so he can perform at the gig. Clearly touched by Danny he has nothing but nice things to say:
"Danny Rampling - the original Millionaire Hippie is and has always been a great inspiration to me. And above that, a true friend. We met back in 88/89 and have remained staunch supporters of each others crafts throughout the years. In a small personal way it breaks my heart that he's retiring. But I understand the need to fulfil goals and aspirations. I love the man beyond measure and will always be there for him. And I’d like to think that he's not really gone but, lurking in the periphery. Waiting to lend a hand at any given moment. Danny is truly one of my Heroes, Maximum Love and Continued Respect.”
