  • Content warning: This story is about sexual assault. A new Mixmag report from Annabel Ross features more people coming forward with allegations against Erick Morillo for sexual misconduct and assault. Before his death earlier this month, Morillo was charged with sexual battery for an alleged assault in Miami last December. (A rape kit tested positive for his DNA.) He was due to appear in court the same week that he died. Since then, more accounts of alleged assault and misconduct have surfaced against Morillo. One woman, called Jasmine in the Mixmag news story (not her real name), says that it was only after the report of Morillo's charge that she realized what had happened to her.

"I was so sad because I was like, 'Oh my God, maybe he felt like he could get away with it because he had gotten away with it with me,'" she says in the report. "I felt so, so bad and like I should have done something more." Other accounts include a woman who says that Morillo assaulted her in her car in the '90s, a woman who worked with Morillo in the 2000s who says she suffered verbal and emotional abuse and two men say they witnessed sexual misconduct or knew women who had allegedly been assaulted by Morillo.
