- "Luckey," backed with a remix from Peaking Lights, is out in February on Pacific Rhythm.
The latest release from Pacific Rhythm is a 12-inch from the Montreal-based house producer Jesse Futerman, featuring Beverly Glenn-Copeland.
"Luckey" is the intergenerational collaboration between the Candian artists and friends. Futerman has released records on labels like Church and Sounds Of Beaubien Ouest, while Glenn-Copeland has experienced a major late-career renaissance.
The rediscovery of Glenn-Copeland's 1986 record, ...Keyboard Fantasies..., subsequently led to live shows, a documentary and major press coverage. (In June, a fundraising campaign was launched to help Glenn-Copeland obtain housing after the financial blow of lost income due to cancelled tours.)
Futerman's "Luckey," featuring vocals from Glenn-Copeland, comes with a remix from Peaking Lights on the B-side. The EP drops on vinyl and digital in February.
