New York experimentalist and deep electronics exponent, Joe Claussell, has confirmed the official streetdate for his anticipated 'Translate' compilation.
Known in music circles for a varied selection of musical tastes, Claussell has created a radically different 'mix compilation', blending together a selection of musical pieces from the likes of Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Ame, Vince Watson and Virgo 4 with soundtrack effects, filmscore passages, verbal prose, street vox-pops and other dialogue, including verbal thoughts from Joe himself.
‘Translate’ hits the streets on March 6th through NRK on CD and a special unmixed vinyl doublepack, featuring rare and deleted tracks such as Jeff Mill's ‘Now Is The Time’, Vince Watson's ‘Mystical Rhythms’ and the Trax Records classic ‘In A Vision’ by Virgo 4.
A ‘Translate’ web site will be launched shortly in order to convey the special nature of the compilation.
