  • Since its inception at the turn of the millennium Fortdance has developed a reputation as Russia’s best electronic music festival. Off the back of a stunning location (a 19th century military support) off the coast of Saint Petersburg, continued improvement year on year in production, lighting and sound the event continues in its strong vein with a line-up of diverse international and local talent. This years event takes place on July 29th. Fort ‘Imperial Alexander I’, built over 200 years ago, is one of the few remaining military bases left in the Gulf of Finland and with international DJs flown in by Helicopter prior to their gigs it provides a surreal experience for the 5,000+ fans expected to flock to the event. This years line-up sees progressive double act Deep Dish healine the event alongside Dean Coleman, 2020 Soundsystem (Live), Youngsters (Live), King Roc, Swanky Tunes (Live), Anton Nuemark, Monica Electronica, Miss Nine, Fish, Spy.Der, Kon (Kiev) DJ Fonar, DJ OM (Kazan) + many more. Due to the cross appeal of this event a diverse crowd is expected. Dance music fans can spend the night ducking and weaving their way throughout the citadel of fort corridors, whilst those with heavy oil funded pockets can enjoy the Mojito Sunrise Bar on the roof of the Fort, one of the many private dungeon rooms for hire that come with optional topless dancers or the two VIP lounges on site. Beats 'chillin out' on the stairwell doesn't it?
