  • Danny Howells returns to The End this Friday for another of his Dig Deeper nights. Pace yourself because this time he'll be hogging the decks for seven not six hours! It's almost a year since Danny Howells first launched his Dig Deeper marathon sets at The End. The residency was set up to enable Danny to plunder the depths of his eclectic and sizable record collection over the course of a whole night rather than try and squeeze it all in in a two hour set. Since then Danny has taken the Dig Deeper concept as far as Miami and Tokyo but despite the increasing number of overtime shifts there's no sign of him cutting back on his hours just yet. The first Dig Deeper night at The End last August was plugged as an all nighter with the host on the decks for six hours. But latest news from The End hints that this time around Danny will be going even deeper. In press for the night, Danny promises, "more silliness...along with seven hours of my favourite music from downtempo deep house through to techno." Along with his usual bundle of house and disco, those heading to The End should keep an ear out for Danny's recent remix of Madonna's 'Get Together' made with production partner Dick Trevor. Failing that, Danny will most likely bang the crap out of it with a swag of "terribly unfashionable" techno, as he once put it. Danny Howells plays The End this Friday, July 28, 2006.
