  • If there’s any band fit for a DVD compilation of music videos and live footage, it’s reclusive Swedes The Knife. ‘Silent Shout: An Audio Video Experience’ is out this month. It’s not easy to turn electronic music into a live performance, but The Knife may be the band giving it their best shot. Knife shows even have a visual director, Andreas Nilsson, who also has directed four eye-popping videos for the band. If you missed their recent live shows in America and elsewhere, this month they’re releasing a DVD to replicate the experience at home. ‘Silent Shout: An Audio Visual Experience’ collects all eleven of the band’s videos and live footage from the pair's April 12, 2006 gig in Gothenburg, Sweden. The package also contains a documentary short on the band ‘When I Found the Knife’ directed by label co-chief Frau Rabid. Latest Knife single ‘Like a Pen’ is there among the best eleven. The video is again directed by Nilsson, and it might be his best effort yet. But don’t take our word for it, check it out. There’s no word on international distribution yet, but you can order the DVD on their website.
