Great Dane Trentemoller has announced six Australian dates for January in support of his latest album ‘The Last Resort’. Key dates include New Year’s Eve at the Chinese Laundry with Hybrid, and the New Year’s Day blowout Summadayze in Melbourne alongside Mylo, Basement Jaxx and a cast of thirty. Trentemøller will be on his laptop with his regular show alongside partner DJ Tom at all events, unlike his appearance on Danish telly last Wednesday, which was live with a five-piece band. Is the producer gunning for a bit of mainstream chart action? If so, it seems to be working: ‘The Last Resort’ reached number five on the charts in Denmark. The musicians he’s playing with all took part in the recording of ‘The Last Resort’, it’s proper rock action really. Check out the live rendition of ‘Evil Dub’ & ‘Moan’ from the album.
‘Moan’ featuring Ane Trolle has been chosen as the second single from ‘The Last Resort’. It will be released in February next year.
