  • Pacha NYC blows out the candles on its first birthday cake this weekend with a 14-hour set by resident DJ and club co-owner Erick Morillo. Pacha New York is the newest branch of the international club franchise Pacha. Co-owned by Subliminal Records chief Erick Morillo, in its first year the NY branch has already hosted big names such as Jeff Mills, James Zabiela, Danny Tenaglia and Carl Cox. "2006 has been a fantastic first year for Pacha NYC,” says Morillo. “We've had some amazing nights that have seen Hell’s Kitchen come to a stand still. Pacha NYC is home for me. I hope that Pacha will be the place to visit for years to come." Like its Ibiza counterpart, Pacha NY is proving to be something of a celeb magnet: P.Diddy gave an impromptu performance from the DJ booth at Morillo's birthday in April, while Jamie Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler from TV show The Sopranos are also expected to pop by this weekend - looks like a glam night out. Erick Morillo plays the Pacha New York one year anniversary party on Saturday, December 16, 2006.
