London electro-poppers Hot Chip remix two tracks from Kraftwerk's 2003 album 'Tour De France'.
The mixes are a bit behind schedule if they're supposed to coincide with this year's tour, but the pairing is perhaps an inspired one. Hot Chip's liveshow is more than a little inspired by Kraftwerk, while Joe Goddard has nothing but praise for the band: “What makes Kraftwerk brilliant is the combination of fascinating textures and sounds, simplicity and efficiency in production, and a habit of writing beautiful melodies.”
The two mixes are produced by different halves of Hot Chip, with Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard taking on 'Aerodynamik', and Al Doyle and Felix Martin remixing 'La Forme'.
