Turkish minimalist Onur Özer releases his debut album 'Kaşmir' on Vakant next month.
Özer started out as a DJ, championing minimal techno in Istanbul from 1999. His first twelve as a producer arrived in 2005, followed by tracks on Freude Am Tanzen and Vakant, including this year's much acclaimed single 'Red Cabaret'. 'Kaşmir' is both Özer and Vakant's first artist album, and promises to meld orchestral instrumentation, modern techno rhythms and a hint of Eastern influence from Özer's hometown.
