The most anticipated dubstep album of 2008 (so far) will finally be released in March.
Dubstep heads have been paying up to £30 for promos of Benga’s Diary of an Afro Warrior since it surfaced last month, but for the more skint among us, the wait is nearly over. Delayed for months after its announcement last November, Diary… promises to do to 2008 what Burial’s Untrue did to 2007 (i.e. nudge the dubstep sound into the mainstream). ‘Night’, the first single from the album was a genuine crossover hit, scoring nods from everyone from Erol Alkan to Gilles Peterson, who rated it as his top track of 2007. Check the fishy video for ‘Night’ from the talented 21-year-old from Croydon, London.
