Poker Flat's Guido Schneider is heading to South Africa to play two launch parties for next year's Global Breakthough tour.
Global Breakthrough is a week-long series of day and night club events that happens in Cape Town, South Africa from February 22 to March 1, 2008. Aimed at bringing the vibe of the Miami WMC and Ibiza to the Mother City, the festival is known for putting its DJs behind the decks in out-of-the-way places such as in an aquarium, a wine cellar or a waterfront warehouse.
Poker Flat boss Steve Bug spun at this year's GB festival, but for the 2008 launch label employee Guido Schneider will be stepping off the plane. A regular player on Berlin's marathon afters scene, Schneider's record bag has a deep bottom so be prepared for a long set. Schneider will spin with DJs from the Killer Robot crew in Cape Town on Friday and in Jo'burg with the Digital Rockit peeps on Saturday.
