- A downsized version of Wax:On Live will happen in Leeds this weekend.
- Leeds promoters Wax:On keep their chin up with the announcement of another rave up this weekend. The latest victims of the so-called "credit crunch", Wax:On were forced to call off this Saturday's planned festival at Lotherton Hall. Good news for those up North still hoping to wig out. A scaled back version of the festival will happen this Saturday at Leeds University venues Stylus and Pulse. The bill retains the festival's "live" focus with Hercules & Love Affair, Late of the Pier and Autokratz due to strut their stuff plus DJ sets from Erol Alkan and blog house faves Crookers and Brodinski. More acts from the original Wax:On Live bill will also be added.
