- The duo of Shahrokh and Andreas Köhler will release their debut full-length next month.
Shahrokh Sound of K. will release their debut long-player on Compost next month.
The brainchild of Iranian native and Karlsruhe resident Shahrokh and Sound of K. main man Andreas Köhler, the project has seen the boys releasing a number of 12-inches for the Compost imprint and getting good responses from the likes of Rainer Trüby, Sasse and Âme.
As you might expect from such a cast of supporters, the sound of the album—entitled Dripping Point—is varied, but held together by a live and soulful feel, taking in influences from some of their favorite music from the world of Afro, house, jazz and disco. FeaturingAs these things are apt to do, it includes vocals from none other than the inimitable Robert Owens, Jamie Lloyd, Siri Svegler and Toyin Taylor.
