- The New York DJ will release a triple CD compilation entitled Strictly early next year.
Erick Morillo will release a new three disc compilation on Strictly Rhythm in early 2009.
The DJ/producer has simply titled the collection Strictly, and will contain a double disc mix in addition to an unmixed CD. On that latter disc, Morillo doesn't just feature tracks from the mix: Instead, it's a veritable greatest hits of his most popular productions, including a remix of Reel 2 Reel's ragga house hit "I Like to Move It."
The double disc mix includes reworkings of classic tracks such as Hardrive's "Deep Inside" and Cevin Fisher's "Burnin' Up," which sit alongside exclusive remixes from Mike Dominico and ATFC amongst others. Those expecting an old-school style mix will be surprised to see that Morillo has incorporated electro-house, minimal and even trance to his chunky house style, giving a good indication of what you could expect if you caught him DJing at the moment.
