  • The Orb are set to launch their forthcoming Baghdad Batteries album with a small live show in London. Originally slated for a July release, Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann's latest full-length will now hit stores on September 7th, with the duo set to launch the record three days later at London's Arch 635 club. Just because the space only holds 250 people, though, doesn't mean it will be any less of a multimedia spectacular than usual, with eight projectors and two large screens set to display visuals throughout the live performance. They aren't the only surfaces to be used, however, as the duo are planning to use the entire audience as a human screen. Upon entry, each ticketholder will be given a numbered white overall so that the group's VJs can provide a totally immersive visual experience. Some old favourites are promised, but we are told that the forthcoming album will take up most of the pair's set. As for what to expect? In Paterson's own words, a "subterranean house pulse beamed up from the Earth's core, resulting in a new form of space disco which sounds as old as time itself while brushed with the most future-pointed minimal techno shadows."
