  • Alejandra Iglesias (aka Dinky) will host a showcase of her Horizontal imprint in Tokyo next month. Dinky has had a long and colourful decade in the electronic music scene, coming up on labels such as Traum and Carpark before scoring big in '05 with the ubiquitous club anthem "Acid in My Fridge." The Berlin-based Chilean dropped her third album during the course of last year, which gave a deeper and more refined edge to her minimal house style, and clocked in at #15 in our albums of 2009 poll. It's this new sound that Iglesias will be showcasing when she headlines the Horizontal party at Unit on Friday 12th February, with the label boss set to perform live. Fiancé and Horizontal signing Matthew Styles will accompany Dinky on her trip, and he'll also be bringing his box of records over to lay down a varied set of house and techno in support. Native minimal house and techno man DJ Sodeyama will do the honours of warming up in the main room, while Milnor Modern and Minimood signing Shu Okuyama is amongst the DJs playing in room two.
