- Burial, Kemo and Donae'o will all make guest appearances on the drum & bass and dubstep producer's sophomore full-length.
Breakage has unveiled details of his second album, which will be titled Foundation.
Real name James Boyle, the London-based producer originally started out in the drum & bass scene, getting his break at the start of the last decade on 4Hero's Reinforced Records. 2006's This Too Shall Pass was his first foray into the full-length format, merging his drum & bass roots with more downtempo sounds, but since that record Boyle has taken an interest in the world of dubstep, recording singles in that vein for the likes of [NakedLunch] and Digital Soundboy. It's the latter label that will be issuing Foundation, which will see the producer bring together his recent 140bpm productions with the drum & bass that he originally made his name with. And he's got quite the cast of guest stars on the album.
The most high profile of these is most certainly the appearance of Burial, who helps out on the spectral 2-step of "Vial," while garage and UK funky man Donae'o contributes a melancholic vocal to the moody dubstep of "Speechless." Previous singles "Run 'Em Out" and "Hard" (featuring vocal turns from Roots Manuva and the Newham Generals grime crew respectively) also feature, while Kemo also lends an atmospheric spoken word to the deep drum & bass of "Temper."
