- The Liebe*Detail co-founder has started his own house imprint.
Liebe*Detail boss Christoph Eix, AKA meta.83, has founded a new house label called Consistent.
While Liebe*Detail is known for big records by Spencer Parker, Matthias Meyer and Tiger Stripes, the new imprint will mostly focus on new and unheard artists. For the first string of EPs, Eix has lined up Santos Reslak, Elef (AKA Elef.ant) and Jan Nemecek, who also records under the name J-House. Eix says he founded the label partly because tunes these young artists had sent him were burning a hole in his pocket. "I simply have to release these great tracks I've received," he says. "They're too good to be ignored."
Despite the new project, Eix will continue running Liebe*Detail with his partner Eurokai. "It's still a big part of me and will always be," he says of the label. "If one of us quit one day, the label would be dead."
