- Strut will release the London disco party's second commercial mix CD in June.
Horse Meat Disco have released details of their sophomore mix CD, simply entitled Horse Meat Disco II.
The Strut imprint has become quite a force to be reckoned when it comes to compilations of vintage dance music, and they're showing no signs of abating with their latest disco-flavoured collection, which follows on from the success of last year's eponymous Horse Meat Disco mix. Whereas the first in the series came as a double CD, with the second disc containing the unmixed tracks, this time around Strut have decided to pare things down to just a single mixed CD, with DJs able to get their kicks via the double vinyl edition or digital downloads. As you'd expect from the HMD crew, the mix offers a fairly wide view on the world of disco, the boogie of Elektra's "Feels Good," Italo in the form of Bravo's "Touch Me Now," and plenty of other classics and obscurities from the likes of Rinder & Lewis, Stephanie Mills, Cyclades and Scherrie Payne.
