  • The Hydroplex Boat Party will set sail in London on August 7. Based in the UK capital, Plex have championed underground techno, electro, acid and bass music with their quarterly parties over the last three years, attracting the likes of Dopplereffekt, Sandwell District and Berlin's Hardwax Records to their base at London's Corsica Studios. August will see the Plex crew leaving dry land for their first boat party, headlined by a trio of live sets from artists closely affiliated with Rotterdam institution Clone Records. Dexter, longtime Dutch techno figure and founder of electro imprint Klackson, will fly in from the Netherlands, as will robo-electro outfit Cosmic Force, while Glasgow's Marco Bernardi will make the journey south for a set rooted in both minimalistic electro and techno. Andrew Weatherall's Two Lone Swordsmen partner Radioactive Man will also lay down a live set, while Dexorcist & Bass Junkie are lined up for a 90 minute back-to-back DJ set of vocoders and squelching synths. The lineup for the five hour journey will be completed by Joe Hart and Plex residents, before an afterparty kicks off on dry land, at Basing House. Presale tickets for the Hydroplex Boat Party are available now, here on RA.
