  • Tricky has revealed details for Mixed Race, his next full-length on Domino. "I've spent my life going between cultures; Mixed Race is about that, and in a very direct way," says Tricky about his new record. It will be his ninth studio album to date, and his second for Domino. The album was recorded in Paris, where Tricky is currently based, and boasts a diverse bill of guest appearances, including Jamaican vocalist Terry Lynn, Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream and Tricky's own brother, Marlon Thaws. A lot has happened in the 19 years since Tricky's debut with Massive Attack, and according to the man himself, Mixed Race reflects a very seasoned perspective. "Every album is a learning experience and this is concentrated music, there's no dilution," he says. "I'm comfortable in my own skin now, comfortable with being in the light. I'm not just a kid from Knowle West trying to build a future, I have some experience, I can experiment, I can be honest, and honestly, musically, I can't be touched. I'm comfortable in my own skin now, comfortable with being in the light." Tracklist 01. Every Day 02. Kingston Logic 03. Early Bird 04. Ghetto Stars 05. Hakim 06. Come to Me 07. Murder Weapons 08.
