  • Massive Attack, M.I.A. and Lily Allen will headline this year's Big Chill Festival, which takes place in Hertfordshire on the first full weekend of August. The Bristolian group will be bringing their full visual set-up along for their performance on the Deep Park Stage, and we wouldn't be surprised if at least a few of the guests from this year's Heligoland album turn up to vocal their respective tracks from the record. Thom Yorke, The Hundred In The Hands, Liars and Explosions In The Sky are just some of the rockier names on the bill, but if you're looking for your electronic music fix, the Paradiso and Starburst stages should be the ones for you. The Big Chill has always heavily featured acts that favour the more disco-oriented side of modern dance music, and this year is no different, with Henrik Schwarz, Maurice Fulton, Daniel Wang, Tensnake, Theo Parrish, Greg Wilson and Crazy P amongst the acts set to perform. For those who like it harder and heavier, there's a big dubstep presence as well, with Martyn, Joker, The Bug, Appleblim, N-Type, Redlight and Magnetic Man all making appearances. On the house and techno front, Andrew Weatherall will showcase his tried and tested maximalist sound, while Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler will go back-to-back, and 2020 Soundsystem will also make an appearance.
