- The Minilogue member's new compilation features XDB, Mike Dehnert, Black Jazz Consortium and more.
Sebastian Mullaert is set to release a two-disc mix CD on Mule Electronic, entitled Wa Wu We.
The compilation's title reflects Mullaert's Buddhist-inspired world view: "Wa" is Japanese for both "circle" and "peace," "Wu" is a Buddhist term referring to the interconnectedness of all things, and "we" is, well, we. The CD will be Mullaert's first ever mixed compilation, and his first solo release since 2007; for the past few years, the Swedish DJ and producer has put most of his energy into Minilogue, his acclaimed production outfit with Marcus Henriksson.
On Wa Wu We, Mullaert shows off his DJ prowess as well as his production skills. The mix kicks off with his one of his own tracks, "Lyssna Da Bjorarna Viskar!!" and maneuvers through more than 30 tunes by artists as diverse as The Mole, nsi, Jerome Sydenham and The Black Dog. A swath of exclusive Minilogue material has been included as well, all of which will be put out on Mule following the compilation's release.
