  • Sydney-based live electronic trio Alphatown are set to headline the late October edition of Loosekaboose at the Civic Underground. Alphatown have been a fixture of Sydney's live music scene for years. Since their formation over a decade ago, the three-piece have performed for just about every significant party the city has hosted. This will be Alphatown's third time headlining Loosekaboose. Earlier this year also saw them return to Mad Racket for the institution's annual Easter bash, which went down as one of that weekend's highlight gigs. Sound-wise, Alphatown are hard to pin down. While they rarely stray from the 4/4 pulse, the group's vibe ranges from deep techno right through to more upbeat strands of house. Loosekaboose will host Alphatown on October 29th at the Civic Underground. As per usual, there will be a niche crew of local DJs in support. This time around, Phil Smart will head up the supporting cast, with Speakeasy boss Magda Bytnerowicz, Future Classic associate Jimi Polar, and Loosekaboose resident Trinity also set to spin.
