- Front Room will release the German producer's debut album in early 2011.
Daniel Steinberg will release his debut album in early 2011, entitled Shut Up.
Steinberg has been a familiar face in Berlin's club scene for years. He released his first 12-inch back in 2005, and has kept up a brisk pace since then, with nearly 20 singles and EPs under his belt so far. For his first long player, he stays true to his usual blueprint: punchy, minimalist club music with a lighthearted feel. Much of the album sports an offbeat sense of humor, as exemplified in the title track, which is centered around a long and nonsensical monologue about "chicks" ("chicks go out for coffee, cigarettes and gum, chicks bring back the Burger King, yum, yum, yum..."). Like many of Steinberg's records to date, Shut Up will come out on Front Room Recordings, a label founded by Made to Play man Jesse Rose.
