Next weekend the UK techno luminary will headline a hotel party in Co. Waterford.
Luke Slater will head to Ireland's south coast next week for a set at Electric Circus.
An artist that requires little introduction, Slater has been a vital figure within British techno since the early 1990s. 2009 was another landmark year in his lengthy career, as widespread interest was piqued with the release of Temporary Suspension, a well-received longplayer he produced for Ostgut Ton under under his harder-edged alias Planetary Assault Systems.
Next week's bash will take place at The Grand Hotel, a spot that's slightly off the beaten track in the coastal town of Tramore. Slater will be up against local techno jocks Niall Power Pet Shop Dave, Frawl and D.E.M until 6:00am, when an afterparty for hotel guests kicks off.
