  • This weekend, Leeds collective Louche will welcome back Dinky to kick off their 2011 program. Dinky, real name Alejandra Iglesias, performed at Louche's outdoor event last May, and will return on Saturday for an encore set at Mint Club. The well-respected artist's long release history for labels like Vakant, Cocoon and Wagon Repair has showcased her experimental bent within genres ranging from ambient to floor-focused techno. Her appearance at Louche will be a showcase for her own imprint, Horizontal, and she'll be joined by Matthew Styles, a former Crosstown Rebels' associate with past releases on NRK and Bpitch Control, as well as Dinky's label. The following weekend, Louche will host a special Sunday evening affair, featuring man of the moment Nicolas Jaar. 20-year-old Jaar has been on the rise since his 2008 Wolf + Lamb debut, and was behind the slow-house favourite of last year, "Time For Us." His acclaimed live show landed him the #2 spot in our top live acts readers' poll of 2010, and his set for Louche is sure to include previews of his forthcoming debut album, Space Is Only Noise. Expect dabs of hip-hop, live vocals and plenty of Chilean flavor. Both Dinky and Jaar will be supported by Louche residents Josh T, Brinsley, Tom Frank and Matthew Roche. Pre-sale tickets for both Louche parties are available right here from RA Tickets.
