- A new collection showcases the French label's latest talent.
French label Kitsune Music will release a new compilation next month called Kitsune Parisien.
The CD is compiled by two big figures in Paris's music scene: Gildas Loaec, who worked with Daft Punk for 15 years before co-founding Kitsune Music, and André Saraiva, AKA Monsieur A, a local promoter and highly visible graffiti artist. It takes its name from Kitsune's shop in downtown Paris, a boutique that trades in snazzy clothes as well as vinyl and CDs (and was, incidentally, designed by Monsieur A). Much like The Fireworks Issue, their collection from last fall, Kitsune Parisien focuses mostly on little-known up-and-comers, some of whom make their recorded debut on this compilation. But despite all the young blood, the overall sound is classic Kitsune: disco, electro-pop and everything in between.
