  • UK beatsmith Roska and Brainfeeder artist Lorn will make their Sydney debuts next month. Both producers have a sound entrenched in raw and emotive instrumental hip-hop. As a result of the time he spent as a grime MC in the early '00s, Roska's style is situated at the relatively brawny end of the music spectrum. Since he jumped behind the boards about five years ago, he's founded the Roska Kicks & Snares imprint, collaborated with several high-profile UK producers, and undertaken extensive European touring. Lorn, on the other hand, caught attention upon signing with Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label, one of the most well known outfits on the left-field bass and hip-hop scene. His output is generally melancholic but subtle, as heard throughout his debut album Nothing Else from last year. The two artists will be touching down in Sydney on February 26th, one week after their Australian debut at the Playground Weekender festival. Tickets to the club gig, going down at Tone, are available now from RA Tickets.
