  • Spice's famed water-bound offshoot Spice Afloat will set sail this February with Butch, Vincenzo and Trus'me onboard. Until now, Spice Afloat's only showing has been in the early hours of New Year's Day. Now six-years-old, the January 1st edition of the cruise has become one of Sydney's most prominent summer parties, so the upcoming February voyage will be the brand's first venture outside the New Year's period it's become renowned for. The DJs spinning on the night come from rather assorted backgrounds. Butch is best known for slamming out tech house in Ibiza, while Vincenzo has been churning out deep house on Poker Flat and its sublabel, Dessous Recordings, for much of the past decade. Trus'me, meanwhile, is all about classic sounds: the Prime Numbers boss is just as likely to spin vintage disco as he is deep house. Promoters have also locked in a hefty cast of local jocks to provide support, namely Murat Kilic, Schwa and Garry Todd. In true Spice style, the boat will be departing just after midnight, and spend just under six hours cruising Sydney Harbour. Ticket price includes free entry to that morning's edition of Spice, which will happen at the Home terrace, just a few metres from where the boat docks in at 6:00 AM. Tickets are available right here on RA.
