Fatboy Slim billed for Lollapalooza Chile

- Lollapalooza has announced details for its first international event, scheduled for April 2nd and 3rd in Chile. Originally conceived in 1991 by Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, Lollapolooza began as a touring festival for alternative rock bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails and Rage Against the Machine. The event went through a series of transformations over the years, and today bills artists from a variety of different genres and styles; the program for their first event in Chile features hip-hop artists like Kanye West alongside rock bands like The Deftones and The Flaming Lips. The electronic contingent so far includes huge name DJs such as Fatboy Slim and Armin van Buuren, plus Boys Noize and crossover acts like Ghostland Observatory, Fischerspooner and Datarock. The concert takes place at O'Higgins Park in Santiago.
