Daedelus and Tokimonsta play Bottom Lounge

- Daedelus and Tokimonsta will share a bill in the Windy City this weekend at Bottom Lounge. As part of Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label, the two producers are key purveyors of the abstract hip-hop coming out of LA. Daedelus has been pushing a combination of nostalgic acoustic sounds and frenetic percussion for most of the past decade, becoming a fixture of the esteemed Ninja Tunes imprint, who will release his next album later this month. Tokimonsta is relatively new to the scene, but has already brought her low-slung beats on tour in Europe, Australia and Asia; she's also contributed a remix for Daedelus's forthcoming album. Filling out the night's cast of live sets is yet another LA musician, Shlohmo.
