  • Loscil has completed his next full-length, entitled Coast/Arc/Range. Known to his friends as Scott Morgan, Loscil specializes in electronic ambient music with a touch of melancholy, a style he's developed on records for Kranky and Ghostly International among others. Several of the Canadian artist's releases so far have been strictly topical, such as 2002's Submers, on which every track was named after a famous submarine. His next one takes inspiration from the Coast Arc Range, a "volcanic arc system" that stretches from Washington state through British Colombia. It's a theme that's well suited to Glacial Movements Records, a geology-obsessed Italian label whose past releases include Bvdub's latest album, The Art of Dying Alone. Tracklist 01. Black Tusk 02.
