  • The Netherlands’ Source Festival will take place for the fifth time on July 2nd and 3rd of this year. With three outdoor stages on both days, plus a dubstep tent on the Saturday, the festival boasts electronic music of all styles, from dance-oriented DJ sets to live electronic acts to bands. This year, Source will take place at Middelwaard Vianen, a recreational area in Utrecht about thirty minutes outside Amsterdam. Saturday will feature a main stage, a live stage and a techno stage. Headliners include Kompakt lynchpins Supermayer and Detroit native Stacey Pullen on the main stage, while the live stage hosts more band-oriented sets from the likes of Rainbow Arabia, Horse Meat Disco and Ost & Kjex. The techno stage features DVS1 and Lucy, while the "dub/beats" tent plays host to Kode9, Pearson Sound, Nosaj Thing, and the Dutch debut of Martyn's new live set. On Sunday, the jazz-inflected beats of Bonobo's live ensemble will grace the main stage, also featuring German duo Modeselektor and deep house legend Kerri Chandler. The "electronica" stage will feature DJ Harvey for his first set in the Netherlands in 10 years, along with Moodymann, Tensnake, I-F and Space Dimension Controller are part of a packed lineup for the third stage.
