- Modeselektor's 50 Weapons is set to release the Romanian artist's debut album.
Cosmin TRG's first full-length, Simulat, is due to drop in August.
Since appearing on the now esteemed Hessle Audio and Subway imprints in 2007 with two spacey dubstep EPs, the Bucharest-born producer has long left that style (and his original TRG moniker) behind. After amassing a healthy number of releases on a range of labels such as Tempa, Immerse and Hotflush Recordings last year, he resurfaced as Cosmin TRG with a Rush Hour EP that saw him wander deeper into house and techno territories. This year he joined the 50 Weapons roster with his Separat/Izolat EP, marking the label's first non-Modeselektor or Moderat release.
All 12 tracks on Simulat were made specifically for the album. "Fizic" will be released as a single later this month. The record will be available digitally and as a double LP.
