  • DC Recordings will return with the first Arcadion LP on September 12th, 2011. After a lengthy hiatus, the London-based label, which came to fruition sixteen years ago, is back. It was originally born as an offshoot of the eclectic and long defunct London label Vinyl Solution. Over the years, DC recordings, the brain-child of Jonathan Saul Kane and Alain De La Mata, has formed a strong aural and visual identity; its trademark sound, established by the likes of The Emperor Machine, Padded Cell and Kelpe, is complemented by its characteristic album sleeves from La Boca. Having put out two of his 12-inches (Ghost Feeder and Fly Vision), the label will now release Arcadion's debut LP More Petrol. The UK artist, also known as Alon Dobson or Hungry Ghost, has recently relocated to London and this move has coincided with a musical shift too: More Petrol shows him teaming up with Trouble Funk, Davy DMX, Mad Professor and Parliament to embellish his bass driven, electro funk sound.
