- The Detroit legend will headline at Joshua Brooks tomorrow night.
- Derrick May heads the bill at Joshua Brooks tomorrow, 29th July. Content brings "The Innovator" to the intimate Manchester venue hot on the heels of another member of the Belleville Three, "The Originator" Juan Atkins, who played there in April. Alongside Kevin Sanderson, Atkins and May are considered the forefathers of Detroit. May has now been making music for over 20 years, first under the Rhythim Is Rhythim moniker on Transmat. He hasn't released any original solo material since 1993, but has continued to be a prolific DJ and remixer, and has also reworked his original material for video games and film soundtracks. Support tomorrow night comes from Lee Daley and Dan McGlynn of the city’s FraidSo duo, Eddie Leader, one third of Soul Science who launched the Hudd Traxx label six years ago, and Rashid Khan. In keeping with the ethos of Content nights, space is limited to just 200. Tickets are still available here on RA.
