  • AND Festival and Dopplereffekt will present Neutrino at Scandinavian Seaman's Church in Liverpool later this month. Neutrino shows the elusive group, headed by Drexciya member Gerald Donald (AKA Heinrich Müller), realising their long-standing interest in experimental physics—a fetish that's exhibited on their albums Linear Accelerator and Calabi-Yau Manifold. The only information available at this point is that astrophysics lectures will be used as the basis for an audio-visual performance. The night is in conjunction with Munich's Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics, so expect the very latest theory to be in full effect. Dopplereffekt, who are now said to be a four-piece but often perform live as a duo, will kick off the closing weekend of the festival, which started at the beginning of this month and concludes on Sunday, October 2nd. The AND (Abandon Normal Devices) programme, which explores new cinema and digital culture, takes place on an annual basis across the Northwest with Liverpool and Manchester taking turns year-on-year to play host.
