- Playground Weekender has announced the lineup for its 2012 event, taking place on March 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Headlining this year's event is Chic, the 70's group behind disco classic like "Everybody Dance" and "I Want Your Love." The electronic portion of the bill includes Berlin duo Modeselektor, ambient pioneer The Orb, disco edit innovator Greg Wilson and Warp Records youngster Hudson Mohawke. Damian Lazarus and Art Department will represent Crosstown Rebels, and UNKLE Sounds will deliver an audio-visual performance that debuted in the UK three months ago. Other highlights include lo-fi psychedelic rockers Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, UK rapper Roots Manuva, Kiwi dub ensemble Fat Freddys Drop and chillwavers Neon Indian. Seekae, Boy & Bear and Canyons will lead a lineup of local exports. The festival takes place just outside Sydney at Del Rio Riverside Resort, Wiseman's Ferry.
