Nektar have announced the upcoming arrival of their Panorama P4 controller keyboard for Reason.
The Panorama P4 has been designed to offer a dedicated control solution for users of Propellerhead's Reason 6 software studio. Nektar have developed a bespoke communication protocol for the unit to this end, although it will also be capable of operating in the manner of a traditional MIDI controller, which includes a MIDI output. Full information on the P4 is apparently going to be dripped out until it's fully unveiled at the upcoming NAMM conference in Anaheim in January, but Nektar have posted details on their site regarding the unit's mixer, channel strip and master control sections. There's also a 100mm touch sensitive motorized fader for volume settings on channels or devices. Information on price is unavailable at this point.
