- Kompakt will release the Danish trio's next album in February.
WhoMadeWho will release their next album, Brighter, at the end of February on Kompakt.
Brighter will be the Danish dance rock trio's second album in less than 12 months, after Knee Deep, which came out in April. That record marked a shift in style for WhoMadeWho; the band recorded it with a series of personal and professional hardships still fresh in their minds, resulting in something darker and more introspective than their party-friendly early records. Brighter was recorded during the same sessions as Knee Deep, in a "semi-built" hotel in Copenhagen in 2010, but has a distinctly more upbeat sound, which is part of why the band decided to release it separately. The first single, "Inside World," is due out later this month, and you can stream it right here.
