- The Detroit DJ will hit the decks at Smart Bar next month.
Motor City veteran Mike Huckaby will head to Chicago on Saturday, February 18th to play a Dotbleep party at Smart Bar.
Huckaby has been an integral part of techno culture in Detroit and beyond for two decades, both as an in-demand producer and DJ and as a teacher of the city's next generation of talent, which RA highlighted in Real Scenes: Detroit last summer. Late last year he was tapped to curate a mix CD celebrating the German imprint Tresor Records 20th anniversary, and he's just wound down a two-month tour of Europe that included a New Year's Eve gig at Tresor Club in Berlin. He'll return to Dotbleep at Smart Bar after playing there with resident Justin Long a year ago. Long will join him once again, and fellow local Sevron rounds out the night's lineup.
