- The next annual all-Cocoon mix CD is due out in March.
Cocoon Recordings have revealed details for their next compilation, Sieben, mixed as always by Chris Tietjen.
Tietjen seems like a pretty devoted guy. As a quick glance at his Discogs page will tell you, the 26-year-old DJ's entire catalog consists of mix CD's for Cocoon: beginning with Eins in 2006, he's mixed every edition of the label's numerical series, and got involved in some of the Green & Blue and Cocoon Summer Ibiza series as well. Sieben is his ninth Cocoon mix to date, and follows the same blueprint as the ones that came before it, with 13 tracks that show where the Frankfurt label's sound is at today. Selections include recent cuts like from Maetrik and Nick Curly as well as old favorites like Guy Gerber's "Timing." Every track included has been released on Cocoon.
